Few of us are able to succeed the very first time, but it's the person who has the nerve and courage to try again in the face of tough breaks and big odds who gets everybody's respect. It's just this type of person who's selected from the audience - people who have failed at something important in their lives but who have come back stronger are they people they want... The first contestant is called Mrs Black, who feels that she neglected her son during his childhood, whilst looking after her husband's needs after his return from a Japanese prison camp. Now her seven year old son has become a nervous, high strung, irritable child who is hard to handle.
