Once every couple of years some touring theatrical troupe decides to play the town of Weaverville. The first night audience, though small, is always quite colourful. The white, pink and blue of the ladies evening dresses blending gaily with the green of the gentlemen’s tuxedo’s. This years offering is to be the immortal Somerset Maughan classic, Rain, which has been around many a season although not nearly as many as its star Miss Lilly LeFarge. Needless to say Mildred Anderson is simply dying to see it but as usual there’s our young hero to be reckoned with…
