In an effort to help Private Mousey Grey to get adjusted to civilian life, Lum and Abner have offered him a job in the store. They had also hoped to discover the story behind his injured leg by having him fill out a physical examination form, but this failed and the mystery continues. As we look in on the little community today, we find Lum in the store, and Abner is just entering.
