Frank Burt is a vaudeville performer, who meets Myrtle McKinley when she goes to San Francisco to study at business school. He can see that she is talented, and he soon manages to convince her to become a stage team together. They fall in love, marry and have two children, and we then see a story which is leaps and bounds ahead of its time, detailing the difficulties working parents face.
