As we look in on the little community today, we find Lum and Abner in their Jot em Down store preparing to turn their findings over to the law. Lum is attempting to get in contact with the town marshall who has left town for a few days as his brother is ill. He has left Willie the Boodler in charge of the prisoners - except he's one of the prisoner's himself.
