A comedy starring Bob Hope, as Monsieur Beaucaire, barber to King Louis of France. He is in love with Mimi, whose aspiration is to become a chambermaid to the King. Beaucaire will try anything to stop this happening. His first attempt, is to dress himself in the King's robes and impersonate him. It's all going well, until the Queen walks in and catches him in an embrace with Mimi.
