The world is filled with men of all stripes and colors driven by an inner compulsion to maintain a macho image not so much for the world at large but for them selves. Such a one is Lou Richmond, appliance salesman. At first glance not such a glamorous business but then at first glance neither is Lou except that for some inexplicable reason this 40-odd year old man with a receding hairline and slightly paunchy has his own special magic with women and the luck of the devil getting away with it until… well that’s the story isn’t it.
