Zeek Peters had lived alone for years in the wilderness of the Yukon near Bear Creek. He was a dour silent man who had no friends and wanted none. As sergeant Preston of the North West Mounted police entered Zeek's cabin he knew he wouldn't be welcome. Preston knows all about Zeek, how he left Toronto because he was suspected of committing a crime. Now the real criminal has been found thanks to the perseverance of Zeek's brother in Toronto. Zeek plans on going back and repaying his brother with the fortune he has hidden in his cabin from the gold he struck two years ago.
