Dupont’s Cavalcade of America presents dramatic incidents in the life of one of New England’s most illustrious men the great mathematician Nathaniel Bowditch. Before Bowditch’s day American shipmasters had never excelled in navigation. Ships found their way across the ocean with no accurate knowledge of their courses.
