It’s very exciting in the Gildersleeve household just before Christmas and Marjory has a surprise planned for Gildy tonight. Leroy doesn’t know what it is but Birdy does. Gildy tries to find out from Birdy what it could be but Birdy is not going to be tricked in to spoiling the surprise. Gildy thinks it must be something special so decides that he will give Marjory his Mother’s diamond ring.
