For over an hour, the man in the trench coat had been standing at the window of the penthouse atop the Chase Weatherly apartment building staring down into the rain swept streets below. The panic, the fear was gone now, and his mind was functioning smoothly and efficiently. The situation was no longer completely hopeless because out of the nightmare, a solution had emerged, a bold dangerous solution; a fantastic plan really, but it could work. And for him, there was no choice, he had to take this one chance for survival, his own survival.
