When a European professor arrives in America after the war to work on the development of turbo jet engines it is the job of the counterspies to protect him as a distinguished visitor. Counterspy Peters met with the professor at his rented apartment to find out as much information about him in order to be able to protect him fully. During their meeting Peters was shot dead, but was the bullet meant for him or for the professor or was there a lot more to it than meets the eye?
