The Million Dollar Murder Case opened with the finding of the body of Ezra Simmons much disliked recluse despite all of Simmons’s efforts to protect him self. Suspects include his secretary Betty Jonas and caretaker Harold Heckner who Philo Vance has discovered is stone deaf. At noon of the day following the murder |Joseph Hargraves, Simmons’s lawyer arrived at the mansion to read the will.
