The stockholders of the Great Western Silver Company became dissatisfied with the way Squire Skimp has been managing the mine and decided to oust him from office and have asked Lum to take over the office of general manager. Today Lum called a meeting of the stockholders and asked them to pay him a salary to look after their interests and also to pay for a helper for Abner on their new rolling store so that he may spend all his time on the silver mine.
