Lum and Abner are in their restaurant discussing the problem of who owns the pearl. Abner believes it is theirs as it was in their restaurant. Squire believes it was his as he ordered the oyster, Granpap believes it is his as he found it. As Abner says, Grandpap sent the plate of oysters back after he chipped his tooth and they had not yet been payed for so Lum believes it belongs to him and Abner.
