It's October 1927, and at the Lyceum Theater, the leading vaudeville showhouse, actors Eddie and Sally McCoy, 'The Real McCoy's' are billed as the headline act. As our story begins, Eddie McCoy is on the stage nearing the end of an eccentric dance, that's a kind of magic caught in rhythm, whilst in the back Sally is talking to Joe Stone, personal manager of the McCoys. Joe's always wished that Eddie hadn't married Sally, believing that she's held him back from his true star potential...
