Terri McKay met Michael Marne on board the Napoli. He was walking along the deck, reading a radiogram message, when it blew out of his hands, only to be caught by Terri, who immediately started to read it. Terri was on her way back to the United States to get married, to the head of a big New York department store - a steady, conscientious, hard working guy. Michael was also about to be married. He was engaged to marry Lois Clarke, a cute little chick worth quite a few million dollars. But their meeting on the deck of the Napoli, puts a halt to these notions, and is where their passionate, love affair began - albeit to a rather shaky start!
