A couple are on the run to Mexico with a stolen $50,000 in cash in a suitcase when they hear a police siren and take a detour on to a lonely side road before their car breaks down. Up ahead in the distance they spot a house and seek refuge. The nice old man who lives there tells them a strange tale about a lost ship ship in the nearby desert filled with treasure, an old Spanish Galleon. The old man warns them not to go in search of it as the terrain is dangerous but Harry is determined to go in search of the treasure.
