Barry Craig has been a private investigator long enough that he doesn’t surprise easy anymore so when a man named Adolph Beck hands him a couple hundred bucks to help his wife buy a hat he doesn’t lift an eyebrow. He takes the money and meets her at her apartment the next day. However he is not aware that he was supposed to be keeping her prisoner and while in a changing room she disappears.
