Since its first performance on Roanoke Island, North Carolina on July 4th 1937 The Lost Colony has taken a prominent place among the annual dramatic festivals of the nation. This specially written radio version is a story of a woman in that valiant band of colonists Eleanor Dare whose daughter Virginia was the first English child born in the American colonies.
Based on the novel by the Pulitzer Prize novelist Paul Green (1937).
