Wounded by a bullet meant for her friend Peg Martin, Penny Gibbs is in the hospital. An operation was necessary and now three days later Penny's mother Grace is able to come home and say to her husband Jed , "Penny's gonna be well in a week or so, Jed. The operation was completely successful".
