Abel Gunther travelled from Haiti to New York to seek the help of Richard Diamond. He was gravely ill and his wife was dying at their farm in Haiti. His cattle had all died and his crops had burned in the field. Gunther suspected a fellow farmer named Arthur Cotswold was behind their troubles and was using the native voodoo belief to cover it up. With the help of Gunther’s loyal native servant, Little Cheeve, Richard Diamond solves the case.
