Mike Hammer had booked in to a room for the night and just as he was settling down there was knocking on his hotel room door. He answered the door and was shot at. Before the world exploded in to orange flashes all he saw was a pair of old beat up brown and white saddle shoes. He was lucky that he’d suffered only a flesh wound but Hammer has no idea why or who wanted him dead.
