United States Marshall Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles had stopped in the town of Mossy Bend to refresh themselves after a long ride across the Arizona desert. By noon the next day they were ready to hit the trail again when Jingles got sidetracked by the shiny silver mountings on a new bridle In Mooney’s harness shop.
