Richard Diamond is at his girlfriend Helen’s house and starts reading one of her Gory Detectives magazines and finds himself mixed up in one of the cases involving Egyptian idols and ruby. He was reading The Case of the Ruby Eyes. He ends up solving the case and getting shot for his trouble, thankfully that wasn’t the real ending of the story.
