The security of mankind is guaranteed by the balance of nature. If there weren’t bigger fish to eat smaller fish eventually there would be more fish than water for them to swim in. Written by Carl Stephenson this story is said to be one of the most suspenseful stories of old-time-radio shows. It was also produced, again starring William Conrad by Escape and broadcast on 23rd May 1948.
