Judith Carter is the leading lady in a stage performance and has to wear a real diamond tiara. Because of its value, $10,000 and the risk of it being stolen the producer Mr Mitchell hires a private detective to protect her and look after the tiara. Judith thinks it is all pointless but when the private-eye arrives Judith is quite taken by him and sensing he has a problem she wants to help him.
