Lum and Abner are sitting in Attorney Wolford's office during the noon recess of the pearl trial. Lum doesn't think they have a chance of winning the trial but at least this afternoon Grandpappy Spiers is on the stand and if they have any chance of winning it's up to Wolford's cross examining. Lum is still worried about the bribery charge against him.
