The theory of the transmigration of souls has been variously ascribed to the Ancient Egyptians, Pythagoros, Plato, an early Christian sect called the Metempsyche, the Egyptians embalmed their dead to delay, or prevent, reincarnation. All others believed in it as gospel, and to be desired. The idea of the soul reappearing again and again in some other form is as old as man himself. Nobody wants to die - everybody wants a future.
