The bartender thinks he has seen the man at bar before but Mr Gamerton is quite sure that he has never seen the bartender before. He tells him he has been in Europe for the past ten years. The Gamerton asks the bartender about the woman seated alone and the bartender making conversation tells him she is Madeline Charmers who last week got a Reno divorce from her husband plus a million dollar settlement. He also unwittingly tells him enough information about Mrs Charmers so that he can charm his way in to introducing himself.

Within a week becoming acquainted Mrs Charmers finds Cecil Gramerton to be a wolf or what her father would describe as a lady killer suspecting he is preying on a rich divorcee. However Cecil Gamerton is literally a lady killer and Mrs Charmers becomes one of seven other rich widows who have fallen prey to him.
