April 14th, 1869 under the Stateline a printed notice is being tacked to the rough boards of a brand new railway station in Wyoming. It Reads, “The railroad wishes to announce the public auction of lots in the proposed township of Laurelville. Sale begins at 10.00 a.m.” It’s almost ten now and the crowds are gathering. From miles around they come, the founding fathers of Laurelville.
