Impervious to his surroundings, a man leans fastidiously on a Grecian column, lifting a glass of champagne in a silent toast, before he realizes Danny Clover is there. He suspects that his wife, Nola, is about to meet a grisly end, and he has many theories on how it may happen, which he tells Danny of - one of which is by the hand of a young ski instructor.
