Shay acts all charming and complimentary towards Kitty knowing that she is a good friend with Marshal Matt Dillon. Kitty normally a good judge of character is taken in by his charm and innocently tells him that Matt will be sleeping off a drunken stupor following a tooth removal. Shay and his partner take the opportunity that day to rob the bank.
