The Lone Ranger was riding to St Toous. Zeek Parsons was the most important man in the county. He owned the largest ranceh, he had a general store in town where he made his headquarters, he had been elected both sheriff and post master. Most of the powers of the local government were in his hands and there were few to question his authority.
