A large crowd had collected at the dock to greet the last boat of the season landing at Dawson City on the Yukon river. Among the crowd was sergeant Preston of the North west Mounted Police who was there to check the names of newcomers in to the North country. \beside the sergeant stood a big gray dog who never left his master. As the boat docked and prepared to unload its passengers and freight a small man whose head barely reached the Mountie's shoulders came toward. he smelled strongly of fish and was known as Fishy Freddie. He had come to collect his new piano...
