A man is on trial for his life accused of murder. As he waits for the jury to come in he tries to reason out the events, which led him in to the predicament. The play propounds the interesting question as to whether the evil that is at loose in the world today is a living thing. In other words if there is such a thing as evil which makes man evil or whether evil comes from within men.
