The twelve members of a jury have to decide by proving beyond reasonable doubt if hard working immigrant John Perochon is guilty of willfully setting fire to his upholstery shop in order to defraud the insurers for his stock and fixtures. The story follows the minds of the jurors and their various reasons for their verdict.
