Nyland Smith commissioner of New Scotland Yard has successfully thwarted the insidious Dr Fu Manchu in his plans for world dictatorship. By a clever rouse Smith accompanied by his friend Dr Petrie ascertains the location of the headquarters of the an organization headed by the oriental scientists. Finding himself cornered Fu Manchu escapes by jumping in to the Thames river and police who are stationed in the vicinity spray the river with bullets.

Doctor Petrie returns to Cairo and the story continues several moths later as Dr Petrie is working in his laboratory...
