Joppe The Juggler

Joppe the Juggler eats a chicken belonging to a priest who is a cook. To atone for his eating the chicken that did not belong to him Joppe insists on helping the priest in the kitchen only he does know how many potatoes he must peel to atone for his sins and insists on keeping peeling. Joppe becomes a lay brother and he feels that the brothers have done wonderful things for the blessed virgin and that he has nothing to give her on the nativity. Then he shows his devotion the only way he knows how by juggling.
