Singing hostess Dorothy Lamour opens the show, welcoming Henry Russell and his Orchestra, the talented and ever-welcome friend Eddie Bracken, and her distinguished guest for the evening, Joan Davis. We join Dotty and Eddie, chatting about Dotty's day in the glorious weather. She had done some work in the garden in the morning, and then headed to the beach in the afternoon watching the Pacific gleaming in the sunshine. Eddie's day was a little different... He did his laundry!
