Tonight's show is a salute to the music of Jerome Kern, the American composer of musical theater and popular music. One of the most important American theater composers of the early 20th century, he wrote more than 700 songs, used in over 100 stage works. The first song of the show is Just The Way You Look Tonight performed by Thomas Hayward - a song which won an Oscar for the best film song of 1936.
