Mustang Mag was appointed trustee of the estate of a man named Burton. The estate included a half interest in a gold mine and was to be used for building a school and hiring a teacher but the location of the mine was in question. Before finding it the Lone Ranger had to locate the partner of the deceased Burton, a man named Joe Jolly who owned the other half. The Lone Ranger found Joe Jolly in Frontier Town and notified Mustang Mag accordingly. With her foreman Old Missouri, Mustang Mag went to Frontier Town on a buckboard.
