I loved this hour long version of the 1947 film, described as a dramatic study of one woman and of the ambition that was her story. Joan Fontaine is the protagonist and reprises her original screen role. It all started on that fateful day when Ivy Lexington visited a gypsy fortune teller. From the moment she seated herself she instinctively knew that her fate was sealed and that what she learned in the next few moments would be the definite pattern of her life and that there'd be no turning back.

There are three men in her life, one, Miles, can give her wealth, the wealth she so greatly covets. The other two men, her husband and her lover stand in her way and Ivy will stop at nothing to get what she wants, not even murder...
