Harry Lime: The world the poet says is so full of a number of things he’s sure we should all be as happy as kings. Luckily the world is so full of a number of other things it’s also pretty generously loaded with suckers. What my children is a sucker? A sucker is a larcenist chump who likes to gamble as long as it’s a sure thing. And do I need to tell you that the surest thing in the world is that a sure thing can’t be sure?
