It is 1837 and Mr Abraham Lincoln has just settled in Springfield Illinois where he has opened a law office. Franklin Jones is accused of killing a man with a pistol after he was seen threatening him in public however he denies it emphatically. Abraham Lincoln hasn’t tried a murder case before but he is the only lawyer in town prepared to take the case.
