Mr O'Connor a millionaire lives in a mansion which he boards up each year for the winter until the 15th March. Aloysius T. McKeever is a homeless man who lives in the house without Mr O'Connor knowing and leaves it on the 13th March. He looks after the house very carefully and invites other homeless people to live with him in the house including one homeless man who has been evicted from an apartment owned by Mr O'Conner! And little does Aloysius know but Mr O'Connors daughter who has run away from boarding school is also living in the house with them.
