Ginger Rogers starred in the original Columbia Pictures 1947 comedy film but due to illness Joan Fontaine takes the lead here as Victoria who is struggling with her decision to marry Oliver H. P. Harrington. However, fate steps in with a most peculiar fantasy figure (of her imagination it seems), who appears in her dreams and who she names George. George is a figment f her imagination and whenever she thinks about him he  appears and creates compromising situations in her life yet gradually he shows her the way to an old sweetheart who is definitely real.
