Private Investigator Johnny Dollar is assigned to solve the case of the murder of Isabel James.  He learns that she is the fourth person to be killed in the last three weeks, in the same way, all with their throats cut. He makes a visit to her uncle who is the beneficiary of her $10000 life insurance policy.
