When Liz begins acting strangely, that is strangely for Liz, Mr Atterbury tells George that she's going through the "you don't love me anymore period". He suggests that George go home and take her a bouquet of flowers and take her out to dine and dance. However, according to a relationship book Liz is reading these are both signs of having another woman. George can't win, if he he doesn't pay her attention Liz thinks he doesn't love her and if when does she suspects him of having an affair!
