It stretches from the North Pole in the artic passing a thousand miles west of the Hawaiian islands all the way to Antarctica and the south pole. It girdles half the globe vertically but it is horizontally that its magic exists. It is the 108th line of longitude called the International Dateline and its magic is this: cross it going west and you lose a day out of your life but cross it passing eastward and you gain that day an incredible gift of time.
